How to reach Livigno
Advice, directions and links…on the road to Livigno.
During the winter season, the road to Livigno can be reached from two points: the Foscagno pass (2,291 metres above sea level) in the direction of Bormio – Sondrio - Milan and the Tunnel Munt La Schera, which connects the resort to Switzerland and the main roads of communication of central Europe.
When entering Livigno, cars must be fitted with winter tyres or have snow chains on board. All passengers must have a valid identity card. Come prepared!
Notes: throughout the winter season the third road leading to the valley of Livigno, the Forcola pass (2,315 metres above sea level) is impracticable and therefore closed. If you are heading for the Piccolo Tibet via Valtellina, once you have reached Tirano continue towards Bormio and not towards Switzerland.
Livigno is connected to the main airports (Milan-Malpensa, Milan-Linate, Bergamo-Orio Al Serio, Innsbruck) by means of the Livigno-Express shuttle service.
