Regulations
12 RULES OF BEHAVIOUR ON THE SKI SLOPE
1. Respect for others
Every skier must behave in a way that does not endanger or cause damage to others.
2. Control of speed
Every skier must keep his or her speed under control and adapt it to their abilities, the general conditions, and the weather.
3. Choice of direction
The skier above, who has the dominant position, must choose a direction that avoids the risk of collision with the skier below.
4. Trajectories
Pay attention to the trajectories of other skiers, considering the type of equipment used: snowboard, telemark, carving, etc.
5. Overtaking
Overtaking may be carried out uphill or downhill, to the right or left, but always at a distance that allows the overtaken skier enough space for any movements.
6. Minimum space for overtaking on the slope
The skier overtaking another must leave enough space so that the overtaken skier can make any movement safely.
7. Entering and crossing
A skier entering a piste or crossing a training area must look uphill and downhill to ensure it can be done without danger to themselves or others. The same behaviour must be followed after every stop.
8. Stopping
A skier must avoid stopping on the piste unless absolutely necessary, and especially in narrow or blind spots. In the event of a fall, the skier must clear the piste as soon as possible.
9. Walking up or down the slopes
A skier walking uphill must keep to the side of the piste and avoid creating risks of falling or collision. The same rule applies when descending on foot.
10. Respect for signs
All skiers must obey piste signs.
11. In case of accident
Every skier must assist in case of an accident.
12. Identification
Anyone involved in or witnessing an accident is required to provide their identification.
Behaviour on Gondolas and Chairlifts
To ensure safety and the correct use of lifts, the following rules must be observed:
Skipass: Keep your skipass in the left pocket (usually located on the left sleeve of the jacket) to facilitate automatic reading at turnstiles. Do not keep it near phones or magnetic cards to avoid communication issues or demagnetisation.
Assistance: If you are not familiar with the transport system or have difficulties, inform the staff, who are there to help.
Dropped objects: Do not attempt to retrieve objects lost during boarding; inform the staff instead.
During boarding and the ride:
- After departure, close the ski rest immediately, taking care not to hit others.
- If travelling alone, sit in the middle of the chair.
- Do not wear a backpack on your back and ensure straps, cords, or similar items cannot get caught in the lift.
- Sit correctly and use the safety bar, without opening it before the sign indicates it is safe to do so.
At the exit:
- Get ready in advance for disembarking.
- If you miss the right moment to get off, do not jump; wait for staff instructions.
- On the exit ramp, let yourself glide straight ahead without turning too early or snowploughing, which could cause others to fall.
- When using a snowboard, both feet must remain strapped to the board until completely clear of the lift.
