OPEN DAY A LIVIGNO
Learn to ski for freee
On Sunday 14th of December in Livigno and all around the Lombardia region the 7th edition of the Open Day will take place. It's about an entire day dedicated to free collective lessons of 2 hours for children between the age of 4 and 13 where professional coaches from the Lombardia region will teach the disciplines of alpine skiing, nordic skiing, snowboarding, telemark and lessons for disable kids too.
That's a good occasion for all the parents who want to get their children closer to the snow, the sport and the beautiful mountain resorts of the Lombradia region.
It's an opportunity to understand how a ski (nordic or alpine) or a snowboarding lesson is carried out, and to incentivize the flow in the ski schools starting off a safe season with the snowsports professionals. In the Open Day's 2008 edition 580 children have been involved, in 2009 they were 690, in 2010 more than 750, in 2011 about 800, in 2012 almost 1.000 and in 2013 they went beyond 1.000. The purpose is to keep on growing in numbers. Leo Monthy, the Italian Ski School mascot, is the icon of this important promotional day on snow.
Joining the Open Day it's easy: you only need to contact the closest Ski or Snowboard School and confirm the subscription at the Open Day 2014, the school will give you all the useful information.
